Lots of December Doing’s for the East Coast HO Outlaws Club for 2016.  First, guess Santa boycotted stopping into Longmeadow Rd for some spiked Eggnog, so he sent a 19 racers to take his place and told some to bring pretty gifts (Car Bodies) to share. Some fantastic looking creations of Coupes, SS, Trans-AM bodies were exchanged by participating members. Can’t  wait to see what shows up for next year.

Club Business:  Voting was conducted to decided between the two Nominee’s for our Club Director/Moderator/President  and getting the majority votes was Dave Lockwood. Mucho Congrats and we look  forward to your abilities to make things really great like you have with slotcars, controllers and Challenge Team competition.  Rudy Urban was the other nominee and he graciously chose not to see if the Russians or Hillary had anything to do with the voting….   Greg W. gave us the Treasury Report which still shows we are ending the year in the black as usual. Outlaws Members who were part of Challenge Teams were reimbursed for the entry fee if they were present at this race.  T-Shirt orders will be placed in the next month so be on the watch for info posts on FB and our website. Shirts will be @ $20 each and will be your choice of colors and styles. More style = more $$.  Best Appearance Award for this last race of 2016 went to Rick Morrisette and the perfect looking #11 Chevy Grand National BelAir. Took only two laps into the race and it was already on it’s roof……

Speaking of Grand Nationals:  Of the 18  entries, one finished with 70 laps or more, 15 guys had laps in the 60’s and two in the 50’s. Sounds almost like Restrictor Plate racing huh?   And who would have thought a behemoth of a 59 Impala would take the win. Probably Flash, cuz he did by running 72 laps in the latest JL NASCAR stockers body.  If the racing wasn’t close enough already, both Rick H and Dave L ran 69 laps and 38 sections for a slugfest to take second/third. Half a lap behind them was Greg W, also with 69 and 19. Steve N takes a Top 5 finish by being just a track section behind Greg. Mike W–6th, Greg B –7th, Ryan A–8th,Bill C–9th, Jim H–10th, Paul M–11th, Rudy–12th, Paul R–13th, Dave 2–14th,Bob F–15th,Rick M–16th,  Ron D–17th, Butch–18th.

ECHORR INDY Race:   A field of 17  beefy looking USAC and newer Indy racers headed down the back stretch, some even complete with some leftover pizza grease on them, but maybe that helped Dave L.get his first win of the day at Lil’Greg’s. Or it could be he builds excellent racecars!!  Nice run of 76 laps for Dave followed by his pal Ryan A with a 74 lap challenge. 3rd place was Rick H.who also did 74 laps but was 1/2 a lap  behind Ryan. 4th place was Flash with 73 laps, 5th was Greg W with 72. Rudy–6th, Steve N–7th, Rick M–8th, Paul R–9th, Mike W–10th, Bill C-11th, Bob F–12th, Jim H–13th, Ron D–14th, Dave 2–15th, Butch–16th, Paul M–17th.

And a great ECHORR SS race to end out the East Coast HO Outlaws 2016 calender year. Field of cars keep looking better and getting closer with each race.  Having a good day for sure was Dave L. Gets voted in as new club Honcho and gets the SS Top podium spot also. The nostalgic blue/yellow Aurora colored electric buzz bomb did a outstanding 95 laps on Lil’Greg’s great track. Also on the podium was Flash with 94 laps and Greg B with 93 laps. Ryan was a close 4th with 90 laps followed by Rick H and Rudy, both with 87 laps. 7th-last was: Rick M, Greg W,Paul R,Mike W, Steve N,Jim H,Bob F, Bill C, Dave2, Ron, Butch and Paul M.
