January 22, 2019 | Paul Ryer A season high 23 drivers showed up for the Skidmark 500. A testament to Rick, Donna, and Paul who always provide some of the best hospitality on the Outlaws schedule. Donna made sure there was enough tasty food to feed everyone and Rick and Paul made sure everyone had some pit space. Given the large crowd we broke into two groups. One group would race Jalopy on the Doval first and the other group would race Hobbystock on the Pat Dube Memorial track first. Once both groups finished, they switched tracks and the racing continued. This approach worked well and kept the day moving with plenty of racing for everyone. As lunch was being served, the scores were sorted and the podiums determined. In Hobbystock Flash was first followed by Dave L and Greg W. Taking down the win in Jalopy was Flash followed by Greg B and Dave L. The final race of the day was Limited SS with Trans-Am bodies on the Pat Dube track. These cars seem to be getting faster and closer in performance to the SS cars. After so close racing and fender banging (Greg B tattooed my lovely Mecury) the results were in. The Rock (Aka Rick M) took the win followed by Flash and Greg B. Thus another great Outlaw event came to a close. Thanks to Rick, Donna, and Paul M for hosting a fantastic day of racing. Sir Scribe.
