September 2020: Rumble in Ashland

Hello fellow Outlaw racers and welcome to the 2021 season! On Saturday, September 19th thirteen racers showed up at LenJet Raceways to test their skills. After practice, tech-in and Best Appearing voting, Donnie Hall’s beautiful blue Camaro Trans-Am took down the honors for best appearing.

First race was Grand National on the Shamrock Glen. When the checkered flags flew and the dust settled, it was Flash taking down the win with 75 laps and 21 sections. Second place went to Dave with 74 laps and 58 sections and third was Greg W. 72 laps, and four sections. Donnie Hall, Peter Lentros, Steve Nilsen, Joe Rinn, Paul Crosley, Cody and Mike Riley rounded out the top ten.

The next race up was Limited Superstock also on the Shamrock Glen. Donnie Hall with his best appearing Camaro took top honors with 58 laps, 40 sections. Second, was Dave with 58 laps, 16 sections, third was Flash with 57 laps, 57 sections. Peter Lentros, Greg W., Joe Rinn, Steve Nilsen, Cody, Joe E., and Tom Gray rounded out the top ten.

And on to the Purple Mile for the Magnatraction Can-Am race. Setting the pace for the win was Cody with 94 laps, and one section, followed closely by Flash, with 93 laps, 38 sections. Dave was 3rd with 93 laps, 30 sections. Top three all finishing within three quarters of a lap! Greg W., Peter, Steve, Rick P., Joe Rinn, Donnie and Paul Crosley rounded out the top ten.
