Summer Series Race #3

13 Outlaws made their way to Lenjet Raceway in Ashland for the last of the

summer series races. After an hour and a half practice, we had a short driver’s meeting

and were ready to race.

First race up was Indy Cars on the Python. Indy cars run surprising well considering

that the Python is a handling track with one long straight. Flash took the win by 2 laps

over Dave 81 to 79 laps with Paul in third with 78 laps. Big Greg, Pitstop, Jimmy and

Joe Rinn rounded out the top half of the field.

After Lunch (the usual delicious pizza), the next race up was E-fray on the Bear. Dave

took the win by 2 laps over Donnie 106 laps to 104 with Flash 3 laps further back.

Peter, Paul, Joe Rinn and Tom Gray rounded out the top half of the field.

The last race of the day was the ever popular Fray/Super Stock class on the Shamrock

Glen. Paul took the win by 10 sections over Dave with 103 laps each. They were the

only racers with over 100 laps. Third went to Peter who tied with Big Greg with 98 laps

with Peter taking it by sections. Flash, Joe Rinn and Donnie rounded out the top half of

the field.

First race of the 2022-2023 season will be September 17th

. Classes are Grand National on the Python, E-fray on the Champion and Magnatraction with Can Am bodies on the

Purple Mile.
